AS13100 Requirements Training Available

AESQ Supplier Forums Online

AESQ held two Supplier Forums held in October supporting the SAE AS13100™ AESQ Quality Management System Requirements for Aero Engine Design and Production Organizations Standard and transition planning to meet the December 31, 2022 compliance deadline. These events had combined registration of 250+ participants from 17 countries. The Supplier Forums included AS13100 Implementation Plans and RM13009 Gap Analysis case studies presented by:

  • Parker Meggit
  • Leistritz Turbinentechnik Gmb
  • Tusas Engine Industries, Inc. (TEI)

SAE G-22 Committee Wants Your Feedback on AS13100

The SAE G-22 AESQ Standards Committee is looking to kickoff the revision of AS13100 in 2023. In support of this effort, they are asking for your feedback on the standard.

AESQ RM13003 Revised

AESQ Reference Manual RM13003 Measurement Systems Analysis has been revised to included changes based on user feedback and published October 4, 2022.

The purpose of AESQ Reference Manual RM13003 is to provide guidance on the application of appropriate measurement system analysis tools and work with AS13100 Section 7.1.5 acceptance criteria to be applied by the Aero Engine Manufacturers Supply Chain.

RM13003 also provides guidance on the efficiency of application and mitigation strategies for measurement systems that do not achieve the acceptance levels.

AS13100 Quality Foundations Training

The 3-day Quality Foundations Course is designed to bring together key quality systems, processes, and methodologies to show how they work as part of a system to focus on defect prevention. Free Gap Analysis Checklist: Prepare for December 31, 2022 Compliance Deadline

One of the first tools developed by AESQ to support the aero engine supply chain is Reference Manual RM13009 Compliance Assessment. This free resource provides a structure for companies to identify their current compliance to the new SAE AS13100™ Standard including a 3-Part Self-Assessment Checklist that can be used to document both compliance and any gaps that may need addressed. 

Prior to conducting the Self-Assessment, it is highly recommended that a company’s Quality Leaders follow the SAE AS13100™ Requirements Training Course (on-line/ 10 hours) and/or the AESQ Quality Foundations Course to ensure complete understanding of the AS13100 requirements.
