AESQ Announces In-Person Supplier Forums

Plan now to participate in the in-person Aero Engine Supplier Quality (AESQ) Supplier Forums to learn more about the SAE AS13100™ AESQ Quality Management System Requirements for Aero Engine Design and Production Organizations Standard and related transition planning to meet the December 31, 2022 compliance deadline. 

Aero Engine Manufacturers are required to flow down regulatory and customer requirements to their supply chain.  Because of the product complexity and links to safety, they tend to include more stringent requirements than the rest of the aircraft systems and components.  AS13100 was created to replace customer specific quality requirements - leading to simplification and harmonization between engine manufacturer supply chains. 

AESQ provides two opportunities to participate and learn the latest at in-person Supplier Forums:

  • Thursday, October 6 - Indianapolis, USA
  • Friday, October 21 - Massy, France

The October 6 Supplier Forum is being held in conjunction with the AS13100 Quality Foundations Training - see below for more details.

In-Person AS13100 Quality Foundations Training

The 3-day Quality Foundations Course is designed to bring together key quality systems, processes, and methodologies to show how they work as part of a system to focus on defect prevention.  It is intended to support Quality Leaders at all levels in the organization in understanding how these tools and processes work and the characteristics of successful deployment. 

Two opportunities available to participate in the AS13100 Quality Foundations Training in person:

  • October 3-5 - Indianapolis, USA (in conjunction with the AESQ Supplier Forum)
  • November 21-23 - Toulouse, France

Use Free Gap Analysis Checklist to Prepare for December 31, 2022

Use the RM13009 Compliance Assessment & Gap Analysis Checklist. One of the first tools developed by AESQ to support the aero engine supply chain is Reference Manual RM13009 Compliance Assessment. This free resource provides a structure for companies to begin to identify their current compliance to the new SAE AS13100™ Standard including a 3-Part Self-Assessment Checklist that can be used to document both compliance and any gaps that may exist needing addressing. 

Prior to conducting the Self-Assessment, it is highly recommended that a company’s Quality Leaders follow the SAE AS13100™ Requirements Training Course (on-line/ 10 hours) and/or the AESQ Quality Foundations Course to ensure complete understanding of the AS13100 requirements.
