Question & Answer (Q&A)

AS13100 Supplemental Quality Management Systems Requirements
and
AESQ Quality Foundations Training

AS13100 7.2.4 – Equivalent training that meets the AESQ AS13100 Supplemental Quality Management System Requirements and Quality Foundations course syllabi shall be approved by the AESQ.

AESQ has decided for the initial roll-out that there will be no third-party training courses approved to maintain standardization and consistency in content and delivery.

  • SAE is the only recognized source for the AS13100 Supplemental Quality Management System Requirements Course (PD532104).
  • The only recognized sources for the Quality Foundations course are the SAE Quality Foundations course (C2112) and AESQ voting member company courses that already exist and meet the intent of the SAE courses.
  • This will permit the use of the existing training documentation through 2022.
  • All training beyond 2022 must use the SAE developed courses while understanding that voting member companies may supplement the SAE Quality Foundations Training with unique member training like DPRV.

Based on the policy described above, answers to frequently asked question are provided as follows:
