AS13100 Quality Foundations Training Clarifications
For 2022, suppliers with a new Quality Leader with responsibility for supporting the design, manufacturing, and assembly operations within the organization via AS13100 are required to attend the SAE administered Quality Foundations Training course or attend a recognized OEM training course (e.g., GE). QMs in place prior to 2023 who have attended the SAE course or a recognized OEM training course are exempt from the SAE course.
For 2023, suppliers with a new Quality Leader with responsibility for supporting the design, manufacturing, and assembly operations within the organization via AS13100 are required to attend the SAE administered Quality Foundations Training course and any required OEM gap training. QMs in place prior to 2023 who have attended the SAE course or a recognized OEM training course are exempt from the SAE course.
